Kristaps Porzingis is already going back to the infirmary…for good?

Yet another hard blow for Kristaps Porzingis on the physical level. Having barely returned to competition – successfully – during Game 1, he injured his left knee again during Game 2 and, even if he seemed reassuring afterwards, the news is not good.

So, THE Celtics announced that their Latvian interior suffered from a “tear of the medial retinaculum, generating dislocation of the tendon of the posterior tibial muscle”. According to Joe Mazzullait's a ” serious injury » and his availability for the rest of the Finals is already in question, while the franchise's medical staff will determine whether or not he will be able to play again this season…

What is certain is that this new injury has nothing to do with the one in his right calf, which caused him to miss more than a month of competition. For his part, Kristaps Porzingis will “ Do everything possible » to return during this series against the Mavericks. If this is not the case, we will then monitor his status for the Latvia TQO at the beginning of July.
