Kristaps Porzingis back tonight for the Celtics!

Kristaps Porzingis is ahead of its own schedule. While he was aiming for a return in December, following his torn medial retinaculum in his left leg which prompted him to have surgery in June, the Celtics interior was aiming for a return in December. Finally, it is “probable” for tonight’s match, against the Clippers !

It must be said that “KP” has been gaining momentum in recent weeks, and that we saw him regularly during the Boston warm-up. In recent days, he had gone to train with the Maine Celtics, in the G-League, a sign that he was looking to regain sensations and breath in preparation for his return to business.

Without him, Boston logically assumed its status as reigning champion, with second place in the East (14 wins – 3 losses) behind only the Cavaliers (17 wins – 1 loss).

But even if they remain on five consecutive victories, the best current series tied with the Clippers, the Celtics have often been heckled in the racket without their giant, notably against the Wizards or the Wolves.

“I can’t wait for him to come back.”Jrue Holiday recently explained, when asked about the influence of his pivot. “Even doing little drills with him, you can see that he makes the game so much easier with his size and his ability to protect the rim. And then obviously, offensively, he makes life so much easier for everyone, by creating spaces on the drive lines or with his 3-point shots, or the fact that we can't switch on him, or his way to take advantage of it when it happens. So I’m really looking forward to him coming back.”
