Knicks interested in Daniel Gafford

While they are playing their best basketball of the year with 11 wins in 13 games, the Knicks remain active behind the scenes to improve the squad. ESPN and SNY report that management is still looking to strengthen itself at position 5. Mitchell Robinson is not certain of returning by the end of the season, even if optimism is in order, and Isaiah Hartenstein, fragile, must be content with Precious Achiuwa as an understudy.

This is probably why the Knicks are interested in Daniel Gafford, the Wizards' leaping interior, who is having his best career season. Washington is already thinking about the Draft, and after changing coaches this week, the leaders could part ways with one or two major players. Why not Gafford who does what he can in the paint, and who would be more comfortable as a “back-up”.

This track is all the more interesting since the Wizards would be interested in Quentin Grimes, whom the Knicks could transfer by February 8. But Washington is not alone on this since SNY recalls that the Hawks and the Jazz are also interested in his shooting profile.
