Already on the trail of Brandon Ingram to find this super attacker who will be the link between De'Aaron Fox and Domantas Sabonis, the Kings would have another target in sight, and it is about DeMar DeRozanThe Bulls' wing guard is on his way out, and a few teams are considering signing him via a sign-and-trade. The Heat, Lakers or Spurs are among the destinations being considered.
But Adrian Wojnarowski warns that the Kings have called the Bulls, and that things could change in the next 24 or 48 hours.
“DeMar DeRozan has certainly played his last game with the Chicago Bulls,” said the most famous NBA insider. “The team that has reached out to him and is trying to work out a sign-and-trade scenario is the Kings. They talked this week. They’re going to need a third team involved in a trade. Chicago, while they’re willing to make it easier to help DeMar DeRozan get more than the midlevel exception, they don’t want to get any contracts back, certainly not big contracts. They’re going to need a third team to take on a big salary. Those conversations are ongoing. I think there are other scenarios for DeMar DeRozan, but I think Sacramento is the team to watch between now and the end of the moratorium in the next 24 to 48 hours.”
In short, if the Kings part with one or two players to get DeMar DeRozan, the latter will head to a third team (Utah, Detroit, etc.). We obviously think of Kevin Huerter, or even Harrison Barnes as a bargaining chip.
