Killian Hayes remains focused on the NBA

Like Théo Maledon at ASVEL (and soon at Real Madrid?), Killian Hayes could very well choose to return to Europe to relaunch his career there, and possibly try his luck again in the NBA afterwards.

Except that, despite an interesting popularity rating on the Old Continent, the French leader currently only swears by the United States, while he currently plays in the G-League with the Long Island Nets (13.1 points, 7.2 assists , 5.6 rebounds and 1.8 steals on average).

There were offers, [de clubs disputant l’Euroleague et l’Eurocup]but like I said before, I'm here today […] and that's all I focus on » explains the 23-year-old.

More comfortable shooting?

Having passed through Cholet then Ulm before his Draft in 2020 (7th position), Killian Hayes says he is vengeful and ready to “ prove your worth » in the NBA, « in any team », even if he does not want to project himself too much into the state.

What he assures, however, is that he has worked a lot since his adventure in Detroit ended almost a year ago. Particularly on one aspect in particular.

The shoot » replies the one who absolutely seeks to remain impervious to criticism from social networks. “ I would say there are ups and downs, but I feel a lot more comfortable with my shooting, especially in a catch-and-shoot situation. I would say I really needed to give my shot more range. Most of my misses were too short shots and it all came from my support work. So I worked a lot on that this summer with my personal coach and also on lifting the ball well. It was my priority. »

With the departure of Dennis Schröder and the “tanking” operation launched at the Brooklyn Nets, Killian Hayes could be called up by the first team in the coming weeks. The opportunity to relaunch in the NBA?
