As announced two months ago, Killian Hayes finally commits to the Nets. And as expected, it's via an “Exhibit 10” contract, which means he's only been invited to the team's “training camp” for now, and he'll have to prove himself there if he wants to join the team for good.
The good news for him is that Brooklyn only has 13 guaranteed contracts and that he will therefore have a real opportunity, not to mention that between the questions about Ben Simmons' physique and the future of Dennis Schröder or Keon Johnson, the latter's contract being only very weakly guaranteed, the point guard position is more than unstable.
In any case, the 23-year-old point guard is getting back on track after several months away from the courts. Cut by the Pistons last February, he has not found a team since. In four seasons in the league, he averages 8.1 points, 5.2 assists, 2.9 rebounds and 1.2 interceptions (but only 38% shooting, including 28% from 3-point range…).
Not selected for the 2024 Paris Olympic Games, Killian Hayes will therefore have to prove himself again and start from scratch Brooklynfour years after his Draft (in 7th position).
