The first days of training camp in Milwaukee were the scene of a little misunderstanding about the health of Khris Middleton. The winger had indeed assured that he was back in great shape. However, his coach indicated yesterday that the lieutenant of Giannis Antetokounmpo was not sufficiently recovered, at least not to the point of being able to participate in the five-on-five training sessions with contact.
A situation that raises questions as the sprint leading to the start of the regular season has begun.
“He’s not directly on the field, but he’s been very productive in his individual workouts and he’s been working hard to get back to more of a five-on-five on the field.”declared the coach, ensuring that it was not yet time for an emergency. ” No no. We have time on our side. We’re going about it smart and he’s been working diligently to get back, so that’s the plan.”
Eager not to “rush things” Adrian Griffin was also unable to ensure that Khris Middleton would be 100% back for the first regular season match, on October 26, for the Philadelphia reception.
“It’s day to day. We’re taking things one day at a time, but he’s progressing very well. We’re just trying to proceed intelligently at the moment.” he added before showing a hint of annoyance at the journalists’ insistence. “He’s allowed to be where he needs to be and he’s on time.”
