Khris Middleton finally returned to the court

After going through the “most difficult” rehabilitation of his career, Khris Middleton was finally able to start his season, several weeks after everyone else. In the setback against the Celtics, and coming off the bench, he scored 11 points at 2/10 shooting with 5 assists in 23 minutes.

“I am happy, even if I am disappointed by the defeat”, comments the winger on his return. “But I felt very good as soon as I had to run, go back and forth, find sensations. I hope to be able to start from that, putting in a few more shots wouldn't be bad, and winning would be even better. »

Will the Bucks trio finally be able to express themselves?

With 23 minutes, including the last of the game, Khris Middleton had significant playing time for someone returning from such an absence. Doc Rivers confirms this.

“He was above the expected minutes, I can tell you that. But it's just a number.” slips the Bucks coach. “He was exhausted. You could see at the start that he was out of breath, he still has a way to go to regain his physical condition. »

For Doc Rivers, this is still good news because since taking office on the Bucks bench at the end of last January, he has only very rarely been able to count on his trio Giannis Antetokounmpo – Khris Middleton – Damian Lillard. Injuries to both sides deprived Milwaukee of its main weapon.

“As soon as we can have them on the floor together, him, Giannis and Dame, it helps our team progress,” describes the technician. “We are behind other teams who have their managers together on the field. But it will come. »
