Bad news for the Bucks. The Athletic announces that Khris Middleton hasn’t recovered from his wrist surgery, which he underwent during the summer, and will therefore miss the first weeks of the regular season.
For Milwaukee, it is clearly a setback, as the winger is important in support of Giannis Antetokounmpo.
For the “Greek Freak” and his teammates, who did not win a game in preseason (five defeats in five outings), it will therefore be necessary to compensate for the absence of the team’s second best scorer (20.1 points on average the last season) for a while, hoping that Khris Middleton will come back soon anyway.
The good news is that the 2021 champion has been in Wisconsin for a long time, so won’t need too much of an adjustment period when he returns alongside Giannis Antetokounmpo and company.
Milwaukee Bucks All-Star Khris Middleton is expected to miss the first few weeks of the regular season as he rehabs from offseason wrist surgery, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium. Middleton said at Media Day that he did not expect to play in the season opener this week.
