Kevin Porter Jr.’s Ex-Girlfriend Says He Never Hit Her

While Kevin Porter Jr. has just been transferred by the Rockets, and will immediately be released by the Thunder, his former girlfriend explains that the circumstances of his attack by the basketball player were dramatized by the office of the Manhattan District Attorney. She notably assures that she was not hit.

“My injuries do not confirm any of these statements”explained Kysre Gondrezick at the New York Post. “He didn’t hit me. He never closed his fists to hit me. And he certainly didn’t punch me in the face multiple times. It’s a lie. I don’t have any injury that proves any of that.”

The prosecutor’s office had also dropped the charges of second-degree assault, the fracture of a cervical vertebra observed in the young woman being not linked to the assault, but to a congenital malformation.

According to Kysre Gondrezick, the Manhattan prosecutor’s office would have developed theories based on the discussions of the doctors who treated her, and who discussed the possible causes of her injuries.

“It happened very quickly, but it was not as violent as it was reported. It was an argument that took place in the bedroom for less than ten seconds.” she concludes.

An argument that still sent her to the hospital with a facial laceration and difficulty breathing. Kevin Porter Jr. remains accused of second-degree strangulation and third-degree assault. He faces a maximum sentence of seven years behind bars if convicted of strangulation.
