Kevin Knox’s brother joins the Overtime Elite

After the success met by the twins Ausar and Amen Thompson, chosen in 4th and 5th position of the last Draft, the Overtime Elite continues to recruit some big talents in “high school”. As it happens, Karter Knoxwho is none other than the little brother of Kevin Knox.

The 18-year-old winger currently ranks 7th in the ranking of the best high school students of his generation, namely the class of 2024 (the one entering university at the start of the 2024 school year). But unlike the Thompson twins, he doesn’t draw a final line on the NCAA: rather, he replaces his last year of high school with a year in the OTE, before joining the university circuit at the next return.

The youngest of the former Knicks, Hawks and Pistons player has already revealed the eight finalists of his recruitment process: Kentucky like his brother, but also Louisville, Arkansas, LSU, Florida State, Auburn and Southern Florida in this concerning the NCAA, without forgetting the Team Ignite in the G-League.

To date, it is unsurprisingly Kentucky who would hold the rope, with rival Louisville not far behind, in ambush. There is also no doubt that the professional track in the G-League is to be seriously considered.

Pending his decision in a few weeks or a few months, Karter Knox will benefit in Overtime Elite from much greater media coverage than that of an average high school, since the matches of the Atlanta-based league are broadcast on Amazon Prime. A nice context to highlight during his last season before going to university, even if the level of the OTE leaves much to be desired…
