Kenneth Lofton Jr. moves to China

He will not go further in the NBA for the moment. Recently cut by the Bulls, Kenneth Lofton Jr. preferred to emigrate to China. He signed with the Shanghai Sharks in the Chinese league (CBA).

The 22-year-old took to a post on his Instagram account echoing his first outing with his new team. Defeated with his team against the Ningbo Rocketsthe interior compiled 18 points (7/12 on shots) and 10 rebounds in 19 minutes coming off the bench.

Among his teammates, we note the presence of several old acquaintances from the Big League, DJ Wilson, picked up by the Bucks during the 2017 Draft (17th choice), and Tremont Waters, drafted by the Celtics in 2019 (51st choice).

Undrafted, Kenneth Lofton Jr. will try to regain his health after two NBA seasons where he tried, in vain, to stabilize between the Grizzlies, the Sixers and finally the Jazz, three teams known last year.

Ahead of this season, he battled to try to get a contract with the Bulls. Without succeeding, because he had to settle for a preseason outing with 7 points and 8 rebounds, before being cut.
