Among the most interesting free agents still on the market six weeks before the resumption, Kelly Oubre would still arouse the interest of NBA franchises, several of which are waiting for the outcome around the cases of James Harden in Philadelphia and Damian Lillard in Portland to take action.
The Hornets winger therefore inherits this very uncomfortable situation while Charlotte, who will recover Miles Bridges, did not wish to keep him after two mixed seasons, rather interesting on a statistical level but also tarnished by injuries and irregularity. But his return to the NBA through the front door would only be a matter of days or weeks.
Mark Stein has in fact let slip a rumor that Miami would be the first team to move to get him back, but on the condition of first managing to finalize the arrival of Damian Lillard in Florida.
A rumor which therefore suggests two elements. The first is that the Heat has not yet abandoned the Lillard track despite the ambient calm. The second, that outsiders would serve as bargaining chips, which Oubre would therefore come to compensate. We think in particular of Tyler Herro, Duncan Robinson, or even Caleb Martin, whose “Josh Hart” profile must necessarily appeal to Oregon.
