Josh Christopher drafted by the Jazz

Josh Christopher is ultimately doing quite well: released by Memphis at the beginning of the month, just before the opening of the “training camp”, the 21-year-old guard manages to join a squad before the start of the regular season.

The former Houston player (6.9 points and 1.6 assists in two seasons) is effectively taking over the management of Utahwhere he will join the workforce of Jazz by initialing a “two-way contract”, ad The Athletic.

Although he will undoubtedly have difficulty finding a place in the NBA version of the squad, given the density of the rotation on the two back positions (Jordan Clarkson, Ochai Agbaji, Talen Horton-Tucker, Collin Sexton or still the rookie Keyonte George), Josh Cristopher will however be able to benefit from significant playing time in the G-League.

It’s better than nothing, especially since Will Hardy has already announced that he would not hesitate to rotate and give everyone a chance during the season.

Two-way contract : Designed to create a new bridge between the NBA and the G-League, this type of contract allows each team to secure the services of two or three additional players, to develop them mainly in their affiliated development league franchise but also up to 50 matches in the NBA.
