Jordan Clarkson stays in Utah for $55 million over three years

It was in the pipeline and, according to Shams Charania, it’s now done: after activating his “player option” at 14.3 million dollars for next season, Jordan Clarkson negotiated a $55 million extension/renegotiation over the next three campaigns!

Clearly, the former best sixth man has slightly increased his salary for the next season, while tying his fate and that of the Salt Lake City franchise until 2026.

Given the contracts signed elsewhere, it’s pretty good business for the Utah franchise.

It is that at 31 years old, Jordan Clarkson comes out of the best season of his career, with 20.8 points, 4.0 rebounds and 4.4 assists on average, with 44% of success including 34% at 3-pointers. Now incumbent, he feels particularly good in Salt Lake City, even if the team’s ambitions have fallen with the transfers of Donovan Mitchell and Rudy Gobert.
