John Konchar sacrificed by the Grizzlies?

THE Grizzlies Although they have had a very good first part of the season (Top 3 in the West), they could take advantage of the coming weeks to strengthen themselves and surround Ja Morant, Jaren Jackson Jr, Desmond Bane and others even better. Hence the planned departure of John Koncharone of their replacements.

According to Mark Steinthe 28-year-old player therefore has a good chance of leaving Tennessee by the trade deadline and several teams are likely to pick him up. Starting with the Nets, because Dorian Finney-Smith would be in the sights of Memphis.

But that's not all: the Heat and the Magic are also keeping an eye on John Konchar, under contract until 2027 and whose annual salary amounts to a little more than $6 million. Rather interesting when we know that this guard/winger, very little used by the Grizzlies (2.9 points over 12 minutes and in 16 games…), can bring good things with his outside shooting (36% in career at 3-points).

Memphis player since 2019, after not being drafted out of Purdue, “Jitty” Konchar suffers from strong competition on the outside positions of the Tennessee franchise, with Desmond Bane, Marcus Smart or Jaylen Wells. Without forgetting that there is also Luke Kennard, GG Jackson II and Vince Williams Jr.
