John Collins and De’Andre Hunter in the Hawks’ infirmary

It was at the buzzer of the second half that John Collins was stupidly injured on Wednesday night. Upon receiving an alley-oop from Trae Young sent after the siren, the Atlanta post 4 fell on the foot of Paolo Banchero.

Test results came back yesterday and confirmed a left ankle sprain. John Collins will therefore miss at least two weeks of competition. A blow for the Hawks and for the incumbent who remained on one of his best games this season in the loss to Miami (23 points, 14 rebounds).

Other bad news for Atlanta, still in the injury department: De’Andre Hunter is on his side touched in the hip, and he will therefore be absent for at least a week.

That means Atlanta will be without two starters for at least the next four games.
