Joel Embiid thinks only of the title, in Philadelphia… or elsewhere

Becoming MVP of the regular season in 2023, Joel Embiid has managed to climb an individual mountain. Because collectively, he is still stuck on the march of the conference semi-finals since the start of his career.

Latest example: the loss in Game 7 against Boston this season.

The pivot is approaching his thirties (next March) and does not know what face the Sixers will show in a few weeks or months since James Harden recently requested his transfer. But he has one goal in mind.

“I just want to win the title, no matter the cost,” did he let go during the UNINTERRUPTED festival. “I don’t know where it’s going to happen, in Philadelphia or anywhere else. I just want to have an opportunity to pull this off. »

The leaders of the Sixers are therefore warned: Joel Embiid, under contract until 2027 (his last year is optional), will not hesitate from Philadelphia to get a ring.

“I want to see what it looks like to win your first title, when you think about the next one. It’s not easy, it’s not enough for one, two or three players. You need the right people around you. I work every day to be at this level, to make it happen. I work daily to achieve this goal. »
