With 42 points (14/25), 10 rebounds and 6 assists, Joel Embiid had his best game of the season last night against the Hawks. Nevertheless, the pivot of the Sixers believes that it is far from its best level.
Why ? Because he has to deal with a multitude of physical problems. While he’s been sick and bedridden, he explains that he also has to deal with a shoulder problem, and now a sprained ankle…
“I plan to play but I have to see how it reacts tomorrow” he explained on this injury, contracted during the last match. “It’s quite painful. »
Joel Embiid also explains that he is not in optimal physical condition, because of a summer when he could not really work, because of injuries contracted during the last playoffs, but also of plantar fasciitis which has long embarrassed. And now it’s his shoulder that’s also playing tricks on him.
“I don’t know what happened, but some days I can’t lift my arm” he reveals to The Athletic. “When I block shots, I really feel it. I don’t know what’s going on. »
