While his brother, Joe, is achieving great things in Boston, is currently playing in the Finals against the Mavericks and is trying to win his first championship ring with the Celtics, Justin Mazzulla is gaining ground on the Jazz side.
Indeed, the brother of Joe Mazzulla, after a university career at George Washington then Vermont, joined the staff of the Utah franchise in 2023. He then held a position as assistant coach and video preparer with the team of G-League, the Salt Lake City Stars.
Jazz has just announced that Justin Mazzulla would now move closer to the bench of the NBA team and Will Hardy, by becoming a video assistant. A great promotion therefore, in an important position which can lead very far afterwards.
One example remains famous: in 1995, at the time of VHS, the Heat appointed a certain Erik Spoelstra to take care of the videos… Thirty years later, the Heat coach is still in Miami, and even on the bench since 2008, and has established himself as one of the best coaches in NBA history.
