Jeremy Sochan soon to return for Spurs

It's a return that Spurs are eagerly awaiting. Decimated by injuries between the unavailability of Victor Wembanyama, Devin Vassell, Tre Jones and Jeremy Sochan during the first month of the regular season, the San Antonio players should soon find the American-Polish winger.

Away from the field since the defeat against the Clippers on November 4 due to a thumb injury requiring an operation, Jeremy Sochan is in the starting blocks for a return to competition.

“It’s only a matter of days, not months”declared the No. 9 of the 2022 Draft before the Spurs meeting against the Lakers. “Since last week, I have wanted to play but I have to remain patient and try to follow the (medical) protocol.”

A quality start to the season

No specific return date has been communicated but Spurs interim boss Mitch Johnson has stressed that Jeremy Sochan could indeed “be ahead of your (resumption) schedule”, specifying that the 21-year-old player was “ excellent work » to stay in shape and re-attack the season as he approached the first seven games (15.4 points at 51.2% shooting success, 7.7 rebounds and 3 assists).

“I sometimes joke about it with my coaches saying that it’s a kind of second pre-season so that I can become better, stronger, faster”he says. “It’s annoying (having to stay on the sidelines), but I’m coming back so that’s the most important thing”.
