The Kings recorded the signings of three new players, invited to complete their roster in preparation for the “training camp”. Sacramento’s objective: to put them in competition to find their 15th and final guaranteed contract for the 2023/024 season. While Skal Labissiere will be cut to play only with the Stockton King in the G-League, we will therefore find Deonte Burton, Jaylen Nowell And Jeremy Lamb.
The latter has the biggest CV of the three at 31 years old with experience in Oklahoma City (2012-2015), Charlotte (2015-2019) and Indiana (2019-2022).
Less visible in his last years, the winger is coming out of a freelance period in Sacramento where he had nevertheless shown himself to be rather productive and will perhaps leave with a head start on the competition.
Not renewed by Minnesota where he was drafted in 2019, Jaylen Nowell was announced by Golden State. Deonte Burton knows the house a little since he played for the Stockton Kings. Clearly, Mike Brown is looking more for an outside player and he will therefore have the choice between a playmaker and two backs.
