A big week before the recovery, Chicago gained certainty last night in its victory against Toronto. After taking the best of Denver in their previous outing, Billy Donovan’s men were able to correct a completely failed start (27-38) by shifting up a gear after the break (47-57).
If Zach LaVine was still discreet (9 points at 3/9, 5 lost balls), we saw a DeMar DeRozan faithful to himself (21 points) and a Nikola Vucevic in line with his previous outings, near the circle (13 points, 9 rebounds).
One +/- without call
Beyond the reaction in the second half, the two positive points undoubtedly come from Ayo Dosunmu and Javonte Green. The first brought in his “all-around” style between defense and the passing game to accompany his 14 points and 7 rebounds.
The second shone after the break, between his 3-point streak with the bonus foul and his dunk in transition to put the Bulls in front (65-62), and his stunning final during a great show of force. which consolidated Chicago in its 115-98 success, notably marked by an alley-oop.
Great job as he finished the game with 17 points and 5 rebounds in 16 minutes. On arrival, Ayo Dosunmu and Javonte Green finished with a +/- of +27, a sign of their impact when they evolved on the floor.
Andre Drummond one night sniper
We can also note the contribution of an Andre Drummond who will be invaluable this season in the role occupied by Tristan Thompson last season. The pivot finished with 9 points and 9 rebounds, but we will especially remember his 3/3 from 3-pointers, a great first in his career!
