Jared McCain will not play again this season…

Absent since last month, Jared McCain had surgery for a tear in the lateral meniscus of his left knee. It was then not certain that we would see him again for the season and, a few weeks later, we learned ultimately that he would actually not play again until 2024/25.

A serious blow for the Sixers (15 wins – 20 losses) and for the player, who averaged 15.3 points, 2.6 assists and 2.4 rebounds, 46% shooting (including 38% from 3-point range) and 88% on free throws. Performances, as surprising as they were attractive, which already made him proclaim himself “Rookie of the Year”.

Unfortunately for him, the ultra-connected Jared McCain can therefore give up on this trophy, a few months after being drafted in 16th position by Philadelphia. At almost 21 years old, Nick Nurse's men will inevitably miss him off the bench and, in addition to his career as a TikToker, the former Duke resident will now have plenty of time to focus on his second year in the league, at the occasion of this long period of convalescence.
