In difficulty at the start of the season, James Wiseman had been sent to the G-League to rehearse his ranges, regain rhythm and confidence. The mission has obviously been accomplished.
As Santa Cruz Warriors coach Seth Cooper said, position 5 showed the right attitude in training and in games to get back on track, taking this new challenge with philosophy.
After seven games, James Wiseman got the job done, averaging 15.6 points, 10.1 rebounds, and 1.1 blocks in 26 minutes of playing time. So here he is recalled to the first team since Tuesday, with a new opportunity to show what he is capable of, especially since the Warriors will be very diminished tonight against the Jazz.
It’s up to him to show the desire in defense to grab minutes behind Kevon Looney and JaMychal Green.
