Jamal Murray to extend for $209 million

In Denver, the intention is to reclaim the lost title, and management intends to rely on the same hard core with Nikola Jokic, Aaron Gordon, Michael Porter Jr, and therefore Jamal Murray. Unsurprisingly, Denver leaders will break the bank to keep their playmaker since according to The Athleticthey are discussing a four-year, $209 million contract extension!

This new contract will tie the Canadian leader to the Nuggets until 2029. Alongside him, Jokic is under contract until 2028, but he should, without a doubt, sign a new contract extension as soon as he has the possibility.

The executioner of the Lakers

Never an All-Star, Murray will begin next season in the final year of his five-year, $170 million contract, signed in 2019. Since then, the former Kentucky guard has established himself as one of the best players at his position, and he is still having his best season of his career with 21.2 points, 6.5 assists and 4.1 rebounds on average.

It is especially in the playoffs that Murray is an exceptional player, and this year, he doubly crucified the Lakers and even became the first player in history to register two “game winners” in the same series.
