Jalen Suggs in the sights of the Lakers?

Still under rookie contract, Jalen Suggs is coveted by a team other than the Magic. According to journalist Darren Wolfson, the Orlando player is in the sights of the Lakers. This rumor can make sense since the Florida franchise has just drafted Anthony Black, who plays in the same position as him.

However, the 5th choice of the 2021 Draft has already struggled to find playing time since his arrival in Orlando. After a rookie season averaging 12 points in 27 minutes on average, he lost his starting spot to settle for a second year at 10 points in 23 minutes, passing behind Markelle Fultz and Cole Anthony.

On the Lakers side, this interest is emerging as the Californians should experience a hectic offseason, especially on the back lines. Because D’Angelo Russell, Dennis Schroder, Lonnie Walker IV and Austin Reaves will all land on the market as “free agents”.

It will be difficult for the Lakers to keep them all, hence this track Jalen Suggs whose third year of contract in the big league will be paid up to 7 million dollars.
