The poor Jalen Suggs really unlucky. After a very complicated rookie season, marked by a thumb injury which prevented him from justifying his status as 5th Draft choice, the former Gonzaga fullback finally wanted to get started this season. He had also had ankle surgery this summer to be 100% physically.
Except that he was seriously injured in his team’s third preseason game…
Holder in the two previous games, this time he was a substitute. Unfortunately, two minutes after coming on, Spencer Dinwiddie pushed him on his move and Jalen Suggs took a bad support.
His knee twisted as he tried to balance himself and he immediately writhed in pain. The sophomore had to leave the field with help to walk. His coach, Jamahl Mosley, had explained that the first X-rays had revealed no fracture and the MRI revealed a sprain, but without rupture of a ligament.
According to the medical staff, his unavailability will be assessed according to first aid and the evolution of the injury.
