Ja Morant very uncertain for Game 2

Caught in a complicated match, Ja Morant attempted a fresh run to try to keep Memphis in the game with just under five minutes remaining.

But not only was the leader penalized for an offensive foul on Anthony Davis, but he was unable to secure his reception, falling quite violently to the ground. His wrist and right hand were not spared in his fall, and Ja Morant was forced out immediately, visibly in pain.

If he did not return from the match, the meeting having quickly swung in favor of the Lakers then, the player passed x-rays which revealed nothing serious. Already good news regarding what happened to Tyler Herro in the next game. We will still have to wait for the additional examinations on Monday to find out more.

No risk at the end of the match

“I suffer a lot”, slipped Ja Morant after the meeting, assuring that his participation in Game 2 was for the moment “compromised”. “I’m going to do everything to try to be there for my team, to be there on the pitch, whatever I can tolerate, so that I can go on the pitch and be a bit of myself. If not, I don’t want to do anything that can harm the team.”he added.

His coach, Taylor Jenkins, was informed of Ja Morant’s return to the bench four minutes from time and of his availability to return to the game, but the Grizzlies technician preferred to do without.

“He was available for an emergency. But the smartest thing was probably to keep him out of the way while we continued to do the exams,” he confided. “He felt pain. You have to take things day by day.”.

The countdown has already started since Game 2 will take place this Wednesday at the FedEx Forum…
