News from Ja Morantforced to end his season prematurely because of his shoulder, because ESPN reports that he has decided to part ways with his longtime agent, Jim Tannerwho represented him since leaving Murray State University in 2019.
Together, the two men will have climbed the ranks one by one, the leader first establishing himself as a second Draft choice, before winning the title of Rookie of the Year 2020, under the colors of the Grizzlies. He then established himself as one of the most promising players of his generation, quickly becoming All-Star (2022), All-NBA (2022), MIP (2022) then All-Star again (2023).
A new turn in his career
But, over time, Jim Tanner will not have been able to channel Ja Morant off the court, the young Super star losing control during the year 2023, showing up with guns on two occasions. Which led to him being doubly suspended by the NBA. Before he ended up seriously injuring his shoulder at the beginning of last January, after returning from his second suspension.
Contractually, this will have no impact since Ja Morant is under contract with Memphis until the summer of 2028. This nevertheless remains an important new turn in his career.
