Ja Morant puts on a show…and twists his ankle

Without Luka Doncic, Kyrie Irving or Klay Thompson, the Mavericks quickly suffered from the speed of the Grizzlies by Ja Morant who had ants in his legs. A counterattack to start his match, a superb alley-oop for Zach Edey and a huge counterattack on which he had to lower his head to avoid hitting the board…

The two-time All-Star put on a show at the American Airlines Center, before his ankle turned and he had to return to the locker room. Of course, he will return a few minutes later but, after a dunk in the third quarter, Ja Morant will leave the field grimacing, indicating that the evening was over for him.

Still as explosive, he finished with 13 points on 4/9 shooting, 4 rebounds and 3 assists in 18 minutes.

Final victory for the Grizzlies (121-116) despite 23 ball losses, while Taylor Jenkins was not particularly worried about Ja Morant's ankle, the player also indicating that he was fine, and that he would have without doubt could have continued to play if there had been something at stake. “It’s just preseason, man.” he explained to ESPN.
