Where will play TJ Warren this season? Maybe to Knicksbecause we learn by SNY that they decided to offer him an “Exhibit 10” type contract. In other words, he will be able to prove himself during training camp to hope to land one of the last two guaranteed contracts which have not yet found a buyer in the “Big Apple”.
Now that the Karl-Anthony Towns transfer is official, new York is focusing on its final squad adjustments and, after releasing Marcus Morris and Chuma Okeke, the leaders are trying a new move. In search of a new opportunity, the 31-year-old winger recently spent two months with the Wolves, between March and May (3.7 points and 2.0 rebounds on average). He is also coming off a tryout with the Kings.
Lots of competition
Capable of instantly contributing to scoring (14.3 career points), TJ Warren has however lost his splendor since 2020, due to his multiple injuries and relapses. From Brooklyn to Minneapolis, also passing through Phoenix, he has not managed to re-establish himself in a squad since his successes in Indianapolis.
For the Knicks, Mikal Bridges, OG Anunoby, Josh Hart or even Karl-Anthony Towns and Precious Achiuwa can occupy positions 3 or 4. With Tom Thibodeau, opportunities for playing time would be rare, but the 14th choice of the 2014 Draft represents an interesting option to complete the bench.
