It’s already the end of the adventure for Isaiah Roby to the Knicks. Shams Charania revealed Wednesday that the New York franchise had decided not to keep its power forward for the coming season.
The latter benefited from a one-year contract worth two million dollars which could be lifted until October 24, the date of the resumption of the regular season. The Knicks therefore remain with 12 players under guaranteed contract plus DaQuan Jeffries, in the same contractual situation as Roby.
Recruited last April, Isaiah Roby, drafted by OKC and passed by San Antonio last season, only wore the New York jersey in Summer League and in pre-season, during which he compiled 8 points in 13 minutes of play on average.
Note that the Knicks also thanked Jaylen Martin, previously engaged in “ two-way contract “. New York’s three “two-way contracts” should therefore be Trevor Keels, Dylan Windler and Nathan Knight.
Two-way contract : Designed to create a new bridge between the NBA and the G-League, this type of contract allows each team to secure the services of two or three additional players, to develop them mainly in their affiliated development league franchise but also up to 50 matches in the NBA.
