“Inside The NBA” show will switch from TNT to ESPN/ABC

This is the end of the legal battle between the NBA and Warner Bros. Discovery, the parent company of the channel TNT.

Both camps thus ended by finding a compromisea few months after the start of a trial following the allocation of new TV rights, the Great League having preferred to sign with ESPN/ABC, NBC and Amazon.

While TNT is a historic broadcaster of the NBA, since the channel has broadcast Grand League matches since 1988, its managers found that the broadcasting rights had become too expensive, and therefore not profitable for a company which must manage a monstrous debt. , but they wanted to save the show “Inside The NBA”.

This is what the complaint filed by TNT allowed, since the channel finally managed to reach an agreement with the league. Flagship sports show in the US audiovisual landscape, “Inside The NBA”, with Ernie Johnson, Kenny Smith, Charles Barkley and Shaquille O'Neal, will air on ESPN/ABC from the 2025/26 season.

It will still remain produced by TNT, which also maintained access to NBA content for its digital platforms, such as Bleacher Report or House of Highlights.

In addition, TNT will also continue to produce NBA TV, the Grand League's television channel.
