After thanking Tommy Sheppard at the end of the season, the Wizards launched their search for a new general manager. Two first names had already leaked in recent days, Milt Newton and Trajan Langdon. It would seem that the latter holds the rope since The Athletic reports that the current GM of the Pelicans has passed an interview with the franchise of the capital for a dual role president / GM. He’s the first to have an official Wizards interview.
GM of the Pelicans since 2019, Trajan Langdon already has an interesting CV in the sector. After serving three seasons as a scout for San Antonio (2012-2015), he had a brief stint in Cleveland before spending three years as an assistant GM at the Nets between 2016 and 2019.
We will know very quickly if he takes the risk of leaving the promising project of the Pelicans for the Wizards site.
