In Charlotte, Memphis had very hot buttocks! | NBA

There were almost two games in the game between Charlotte and Memphis tonight. A first act dominated by the Grizzlies then an end of the game where it was necessary to contain the staggering run of the Hornets. Upon arrival, the Grizzlies leave with the victory for North Carolina, but Ja Morant’s teammates were very hot!

The Grizzlies set the tone from the first minutes by lining up a resounding 19-2! Alongside the Morant-Adams axis, Desmond Bane was once again invaluable with his 2+1 and his two 3-point missiles to launch his own in the best way.

Charlotte was not at the end of her troubles since after having regained her senses, Memphis put the cover back with a big alley-oop between Ja Morant and Brandon Clarke then a 3-point from Jaren Jackson Jr. After a quarter-time , the score was therefore final: 36-15!

“JJJ” continued its momentum with in particular two baskets behind the arc and the Grizzlies then aligned a 12-2 concluded by the dunk in counter-attack of Ziaire Williams (28-62). The score was still a headache at halftime after another 3-pointer from Jaren Jackson Jr, Charlotte trailing by 31 lengths (43-74).

The Hornets gradually regained their senses after returning from the locker room, notably through Terry Rozier (12 points in the third quarter). While Ja Morant was putting on a show, notably sending Ziaire Williams to the alley-oop of a pass from the midfield and attracting a few “MVPs, MVPs” from the stands of the Spectrum (61-85), LaMelo Ball launched the Crazy comeback from the Hornets.

The leader first sent three 3-point missiles to confirm the return of his team below the 20-point gap (91-106). Terry Rozier entered the dance with two distant baskets in turn and an assist for a new 3-point from his leader (108-114).

Montrezl Harrell then brought his team back to -4 with 72 seconds remaining (115-119) and in a heated atmosphere, LaMelo Ball had an opening to bring Charlotte back to -3, without success. Desmond Bane was able to convert the counter-attack on the next action and seal the fate of the match in stride by registering his two shots (118-125).

WHAT YOU MUST REMEMBER

– 36 15 hardness. Euphoric the day before on the Detroit floor, the Hornets took a lesson in hardness in the first half against the master Grizzlies, finding themselves blocked at 15 points after 12 minutes, and relegated to 31 points at the break. Charlotte was thus able to measure the distance she still had to go on this point. In terms of hubris and reaction, however, James Borrego’s troops showed they had what they needed in store.

– Memphis “role players” in the spotlight. The Grizzlies have a multitude of assets to present alongside the Morant-Jackson Jr duo. decisive baskets in the last two minutes of the match, when the ball seemed to burn the hands of Taylor Jenkins’ men.

TOPS/FLOPS

Desmond Bane. If we were to take out only one player from the Memphis squad in this match, it would (again) be Desmond Bane. Author of 25 points by having taken 8 shots less than Ja Morant, 4 rebounds and 5 assists, the back again distinguished himself by his ability to put his team on the right track on the one hand and to conclude on the other hand. a hand since his 7 points in the final ended the hopes of the Hornets. His 7 lost balls are compensated by his 4 interceptions.

LaMelo Ball. Rather very discreet in the first half, the point guard suddenly caught fire at the end of the third quarter to finish with 25 points, 4 rebounds and 2 assists in a game that could have turned into a correction but which instead ended ended on a high note for Charlotte, largely in front of him.

Terry Rosier. Reinvigorated by the arrival of his former teammate from Louisville, Montrezl Harrell, the rear came within a hair of a second triple-double in “back-to-back” with his 35 points, 10 rebounds, 9 assists. Like LaMelo Ball, “Scary Terry” unlocked a complicated situation for the Hornets in the third quarter, to say the least.

⛔ Miles Bridges. A huge dunk in the third quarter… And that’s about it. Blocked at 2/13 shooting, it is an understatement to say that the winger had a complicated evening (8 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists). Too bad because a more substantial contribution from him could have changed everything for Charlotte.
