Mini-revolution in Atlanta since Travis Schlenk is no longer president of the Hawks. Arrived six years ago, and still under contract, Schlenk became special adviser to management, and according to ESPN, he is “dismissed” in favor of Landry Fields. Promoted to GM last June, the former Knicks player becomes solely responsible for recruitment, and it is now he who will manage the possible transfer of John Collins.
Despite the arrival of Dejounte Murray to support Trae Young, and the return of Bogdan Bogdanovic, the Hawks missed the first third of the season with a barely positive record: 16 wins for 15 losses. According to ESPN, talks are underway to transfer Collins, and perhaps Fields’ appointment will speed things up.
