In a crazy finale, the Kings with a huge Harrison Barnes (39 points) brought down the Warriors!

As is often the case between the two teams, the match starts at a frantic pace. 20 points from the Harrison Barnes – Domantas Sabonis duo (18 points, 13 assists, 8 rebounds) give the Kings an 11-point lead and it takes five award-winning shots and 18 points from Stephen Curry (33 points) to limit the damage (40- 32).

The two defenses will suffer martyrdom throughout the first half, unable to stop a deluge of 3-point shots. A 3/3 from Dario Saric leads a 16-7 which gives the advantage to the Warriors (48-47), but De'Aaron Fox (29 points) and a hot Harrison Barnes respond immediately. Despite 12 points from a still aggressive Jonathan Kuminga, the Kings took the lead at the break (75-72).

Barnes and Fox drive the point home and a 7-0 puts Sacramento at +9 (89-80). If the distance skill of the two teams finally drops, Klay Thompson (16 points) and Andrew Wiggins (17 points) come to support Curry to pick up the score, but the sixth winning shot from Harrison Barnes at the end of the third quarter keeps the Kings in front (102-99).

Keegan Murray and Jonathan Kuminga then responded blow for blow and we had to wait for two consecutive 3-pointers from De'Aaron Fox to allow Sacramento to make the break (128-121). With four minutes to play, the trio Stephen Curry – Jonathan Kuminga – Draymond Green launches the final assault of the Warriors. They pass a 12-4 to their opponent, finished with a dunk from Jonathan Kuminga to take the advantage for the first time since the second quarter with 47 seconds to play (133-132)!

The last minute, however, proved cruel for Golden State. They left two offensive rebounds to the Kings who ended up scoring thanks to Sabonis (134-133). In the process, Kuminga was countered by Barnes but two missed throws from Kevin Huerter gave the Warriors the match point. Unfortunately for them, Stephen Curry loses control of his dribble and loses the ball to give Sacramento a precious victory.

WHAT YOU MUST REMEMBER

Harrison Barnes' record-breaking night comes at just the right time. After his 32 points against Atlanta in the last game, Harrison Barnes did even better last night against his former team. The former Warrior scored 39 points, his new career best, including a superb 7/12 3-pointer! Every time Golden State tried to get back in front, it was he who repelled their attacks. This is the Kings' first victory at Chase Center in the regular season since February 2020.

The duo Draymond Green – Jonathan Kuminga once again decisive. Already excellent the day before against the Hawks, Draymond Green and Jonathan Kuminga dominated the Kings when they were on the floor. For his third match since his return, Draymond Green delivered 11 assists and played 31 minutes, therefore “money time” at position 5. Jonathan Kuminga scored 14 of his 31 points in the last quarter. The Kings were never able to stop his power near the rim, except for a fingertip block from Harrison Barnes in the final 30 seconds.

– A money time worthy of a spectacular encounter. For this “Rivals Week”, the two teams offered us a high-level match going shot for shot for 48 minutes and scored 41 3-point shots! The final minutes were full of twists and turns but ended with a lost ball from Stephen Curry, symbolic of the Warriors' recurring problems this season. Steve Kerr, who had one time out, had confidence in his team but the latter no longer knows how to win close matches like before.
