Hubert Davis in North Carolina until 2028!

After a fantastic first season on the bench of the mythical college of North Carolina, Hubert Davis further cements his future in Chapel Hill: the Tar Heels coach, according to The Athletichas already signed a contract extension.

This is a two-year extension which is added to his current contract, signed last summer, for a period of five years and which ran until 2026. The updated contract is therefore for six seasons, for an amount of 16.7 million dollars according to our colleagues.

Man of the renewal of the UNC program, Hubert Davis therefore has the total confidence of the athletic department of North Carolina, and it is justified after his excellent first exercise at the head of the Tar Heels, which followed the retirement of the legendary Roy Williams in spring 2021.

As a reminder, under the leadership of Hubert Davis last season, the Tar Heels reached the final of the university championship, losing only three small points against Kansas. This season, with an almost unchanged workforce and driven by a desire to redeem themselves, the program with 6 NCAA titles is one of the big favorites for the 2023 title.
