After revealing the two opening night games, the Christmas posters and finally the menu for its second NBA Cup, the NBA unveiled the full regular season schedule this Thursday. Like last season, there are only 80 games in this first version of the 2024/25 schedule since the two remaining games will be added based on the results of the mid-season tournament.
We then knew that Chris Paul would make his debut with the Spurs on October 24, against the Mavericks. It will also be Klay Thompson's first game with Dallas, before returning to the Warriors on November 12. Paul George, for his part, will have met his former Clippers teammates a week before, on November 6, in their new arena.
The first week will be, as usual, full of big games. From the second evening, in addition to a Clippers – Suns, which will inaugurate the Intuit Dome, a Sixers – Bucks is on the program. On the 24th, after the Spurs match against Dallas, a mouth-watering Thunder – Nuggets is offered.
Alexandre Sarr will start against Boston!
Additionally, Martin Luther King Day is scheduled for January 20, 2025, with the most interesting duel on paper being the one between the Celtics and the Warriors. Following this evening, “Rivals Week” will be launched.
As for the away games, we know that it will start on November 2 with the Wizards – Heat in Mexico. Then it will continue on January 23 and 25, 2025 in Paris, for two matches between the Spurs and the Pacers.
Finally, for the two Frenchmen drafted in the first two places a few months ago, Zaccharie Risacher and Alexandre Sarr, the beginnings will be opposite. For the first, we will start slowly since Atlanta will host Brooklyn on October 23. As for the second, he will begin his career at home against the defending champion! The Celtics will be in the capital on October 24. Tidjane Salaün, with Charlotte, will face Houston on October 23 as well.
