Hawks don't want D'Angelo Russell

D'Angelo Russell is in good shape in Los Angeles. Over the last seven games, he is even the Lakers' top scorer, with an average of 27.4 points, 54% success rate including 53% at 3-points, plus 6.6 assists!

Enough to allow him to finish the season in California? Until then, the former All-Star was in the hot seat, with fluctuating skills that did not compensate for his defensive limitations. Los Angeles seemed to be seriously discussing his transfer with the Hawks, in order to recover Dejounte Murray in the balance.

The problem, as reported by The Athletic but also Hoopshype is that Atlanta is really not interested in the profile of the former Nets, Warriors and Wolves.

The duo formed by Trae Young and Dejounte Murray does not work, particularly on the defensive level, replacing the latter with D'Angelo Russell will not solve the problems of the Georgia team. The only solution would then be to set up an exchange with several teams, with the leader of the Lakers joining a third franchise.

Except that the possible options (Brooklyn? Charlotte? Washington? Detroit? San Antonio?) do not seem to jostle and that, for the moment, the negotiations are not leading to anything concrete.
