Hall of Fame | Vince Carter inducted by Tracy McGrady and Julius Erving

Due to the Olympics, the Hall of Fame ceremonies have been postponed this year, and will take place on the weekend of October 12-13, at the usual Symphony Hall in Springfield, Massachusetts. The 2024 class doesn't have the prestige of previous ones, but it's sure to be very emotional after the death of Jerry West last June, as the former Lakers point guard and executive was nominated for the third time in his career, and this time for his contributions to the game.

On Thursday evening, the authorities of the “Basketball Hall of Fame” also revealed the names of the chosen personalities to induct each new entrant, and for Jerry West, it will be Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Bob McAdoo, Magic Johnson, James Worthy, Pat Riley, Jamaal Wilkes, Shaquille O'Neal, Vlade Divac, Del Harris, Pau Gasol and Michael Cooper. Cooper, himself inducted this season, has chosen Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Magic Johnson, James Worthy, Pat Riley and Lisa Leslie to accompany him.

Perhaps the most high-profile player in the 2024 class, Vince Carter has chosen Julius Erving and his cousin Tracy McGrady. As for Chauncey Billups, he will have Larry Brown, Tina Thompson and Ben Wallace at his side.
