Grizzlies lock in 2nd place

In the East, as in the West, certain positions are frozen, and since last night, we know that the Grizzlies will finish 2nd in the Western Conference since they won 137-114 in Milwaukee this night. Faced with private Bucks of Giannis Antetokounmpo, Jrue Holiday, Khris Middleton and Brook Lopez, Ja Morant’s teammates waited until the start of the 2nd half to wake up, including a monstrous “poster dunk” attempt by Ja Morant on Meyers Leonard. With 3-pointers, Jaren Jackson Jr leads the way and Desmond Bane follows suit, and the Grizzlies sign a 23-0 to kill the game: 102-79. The Bucks only scored 15 points in the 3rd quarter, and Memphis seriously finished the game to win by around twenty points.

WHAT YOU MUST REMEMBER

Memphis seeded number 2. Dolphins of the Nuggets, the Grizzlies will face the 1st team to come out of the “play-in”. For the moment, impossible to know who it will be but given the results of the night, and the program of the last day, we should be heading towards an opposition against the winners of the play-off between the Pelicans and the Lakers .

The fright of Ja Morant. Before missing the “poster dunk” of the year, the Grizzlies point guard injured his right wrist after a collision with Jae Crowder. He was able to come back into play, and the x-rays revealed no fractures. But he left the room, his arm in a sling.

Giannis celebrated. Before the game, the Bucks paid tribute to Giannis Antetokounmpo, in the presence of Paul Pressey. This season, the Greek became the number 1 in franchise history in points, assists and games played.
