Greg Buckner also joins the Bucks bench

Doc Rivers has just registered two reinforcements to accompany him on his mission in just a few hours. On Monday, we learned that Darvin Ham was going to join the Bucks bench, after having already known him between 2018 and 2022 and having even won the title in 2021 there.

This Tuesday, it is now Greg Buckner who is announced in Milwaukee by our colleague Marc Stein. The latter was assistant to JB Bickerstaff with the Cavaliers since 2020, after a season in Memphis in 2018/19 and also three others in Texas, in Houston, between 2011 and 2016.

Nearly 600 matches in the NBA

Before his career on the benches, Greg Buckner (47 years old) had been an NBA player. Drafted in the second round in 1998, he waited until 2000 to play his first match. Never an indisputable starter within a team, he had a fairly modest career with only 5 points on average in 19 minutes, but nevertheless long: 570 regular season matches and 38 in the playoffs.

Between 2000 and 2009, the former fullback wore the jerseys of Dallas, Denver, Philadelphia, and finally Minnesota and Memphis.
