Grant Williams hand surgery

Damaged to the ligaments of the left hand in March, Grant Williams ended the season and played the playoffs gritted. Now that the Celtics are on vacation, the strong winger was able to have surgery on Friday.

Boston franchise announces that the player will stay in the infirmary for 6 to 8 weeks. He will therefore be largely ready for the start of next season.

But in what jersey will he return? Grant Williams is a free agent this summer, but as he is “protected”, the Celtics will have the upper hand and will be able to align themselves with any outside offer to keep him.

The latter, if he was less used by Joe Mazzulla in the playoffs this year and he stood out for his clash with Jimmy Butler in the conference final, nevertheless achieved the best regular season of his career with 8.1 points and 4.6 rebounds on average, at 39.5% 3-point success.
