Eventually, Goga Bitadze (24 years old) has decided to stay in Orlando, via a three-year, $25 million contract. A reasonable deal for the clubfor a player who has nevertheless started 33 times this season.
It remains to be seen what this means for Moe Wagner, the energizer and bench moth, whose $8 million team option was declined by the Magic a few days ago and who therefore finds himself a free agent.
With the Wendell Carter Jr. – Goga Bitadze duo under contract in Orlando, plus Jonathan Isaac who could be used more as a center next season, Moe Wagner could thus be forced to pack his bags… and therefore leave his roommate, brother and Magic player, Franz.
