Gabby Williams Still Very Upset About Her Shot

Even though Gabby Williams' Storm already has a ticket to the playoffs, Seattle is not in great shape. Since the restart, after the Olympic Games, the team has won only two games out of seven. And among these five defeats, there are two against the Dream and the Mystics, two of the worst teams this season since they have fewer than 20 wins…

Tonight, the Storm logically lost on the Connecticut Sun court. Once again, Gabby Williams was a starter, and once again, the Frenchwoman made a mistake. The Olympic vice-champion finished the game with 4 points on 1 of 7 shooting in 28 minutes. Since her return to the WNBA, Gabby Williams is averaging 4.3 points with a terrible 21% shootingincluding 11% from 3-point range.

One of the best current defenders

Fortunately, she compensates with rebounds, passes, but also especially in defense. We remember her decisive interception against the Dream, and since her return, she has averaged 1.8 interceptions.

Which, virtually, places her in 5th position in the ranking of the best interceptors in the league. In 2018, the French Team player finished second in this category with 1.6 interceptions, and in 2022, she was named to the Second All-Defensive Team. Not to mention that at the Olympic Games, she was voted the best defender of the tournament.
