It’s been almost a month and a half Collin Sexton is on the sidelines, the fault of a hamstring injury which could deprive him of the entire end of the season. Even if the back always hopes to return.
“There is no choice but to train and try to get back on the pitch”explains the Jazz player at the Salt Lake Tribune. “It’s hard to stay on the bench and watch. It’s very hard. But I know I can help my team (for now) by cheering them on and being the best supporter I can be on the bench, and trying to keep coaching when I’m on the sidelines. »
For Collin Sexton, it is all the more difficult since he missed almost the entirety of the previous season due to a torn meniscus, and that Utah is fighting for a place in the play-in.
Despite the urgency, and the 12th place of his team (35 wins – 39 losses), the former Cavaliers does not want to rush his return. Several times bothered by hamstrings, he explains that he works with physiotherapists to strengthen his legs in order to avoid these problems in the future.
“I don’t want to deal with any other hamstring issues”he concludes. “We are trying to fix everything, put everything back in order and move on. We know what works for me and for my body, to make sure that I don’t have to miss any more matches (because of this) in the future”.
