Free agent this summer, Gabe Vincent will be spoiled for choice

Miami has one of the most atypical rosters in the NBA with no less than eight undrafted players. Among them, Gabe Vincentwho is making a lot of noise this year.

After starting the season on the bench, he started 34 of the 68 regular season games he played. For an average of 9.4 points per game, his best in career.

His performances convinced Erik Spoelstra, who decided to leave him in the starting five for the playoffs and use Kyle Lowry as 6th man. An opportunity he seized since he has been running at 11.5 points since the start of the postseason, including three games with at least 20 points scored.

A peak in form that comes at the right time because the 26-year-old player will be a “free agent” this summer. And if we are to believe Shams Charania, Gabe Vincent should not be short of suitors. Indeed, the ability of the Heat player to be productive as a starter or substitute attracts the interest of several franchises.

Despite its limitations, its importance to the Heat’s success in the playoffs works in its favor, and its impact in the game goes beyond stats. And while he comes in any case at the end of his contract of 3.5 million dollars over two years, he will probably recover this summer a nice check, in Miami or elsewhere.
