Free agency 2024 | Top 10 power forwards

With the NBA season over, it’s already time to turn to the “ free agency “, which will shake up the first days of July. This year, it will begin on the night of Sunday, June 30 to Monday, July 1, at midnight in France (and 6 p.m. in New York).

As always, the signatures will become official once the moratorium period is lifted, one week later, on July 6 at 6 p.m. in France (and noon in New York).

After the Top 10 of the best point guards, guards and wingers available on the market this summer, we continue with the strong wingers. Where we find a few holders, but above all a string of role players capable of proving valuable in the playoffs, with their “3&D” profile.

It is also specified that several players are capable of playing wingers and power forwards, and that choices had to be made, such as LeBron James being placed among the wingers or Kyle Anderson among the power forwards.

1 – Tobias Harris (31 years old – unprotected – Philadelphia Sixers)

Stats 2023–24 (regular season): 17.2 points, 6.5 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 1.0 steals
Stats 2023–24 (playoffs): 9.0 points, 7.2 rebounds and 1.5 assists

It's hard to know where Tobias Harris will land, because even if he remains a versatile scorer, also capable of weighing in on defense, his last playoffs risk putting an end to his five-year adventure with the Sixers. A franchise weak on the wing and that has money to spend, could therefore pounce on him, like Utah or Detroit. Unless the Clippers bring him back in a sign-and-trade centered around Paul George… But, clearly, he will no longer find an astronomical salary.

2 – Miles Bridges (26 years old – unprotected – Charlotte Hornets)

Stats 2023–24 (regular season): 21.0 points, 7.3 rebounds and 3.3 assists

Controversial Miles Bridges finds himself on the market after receiving a simple qualifying offer last year. Statistically, he was productive in the Hornets' lackluster season and one wonders what he can hope to obtain contractually. Seeing him re-sign in Charlotte is possible but he could also discover a new team, like Detroit or Utah. In any case, his future will be written where his athletic and scoring qualities are best exploited.

3 – Patrick Williams (22 years old – protégé – Chicago Bulls)

2023–24 stats (regular season): 10.0 points, 3.9 rebounds and 1.5 assists

Promising, Patrick Williams has struggled since his Draft to make himself indispensable to the Bulls, in particular because of his numerous physical glitches, his irregularity and his passivity in attack. Despite the interest of some teams like OKC, the winger wants to stay in Chicago, where he alternates between the five and the bench, but at what price? Its future does not completely belong to it, since its leaders offered it a qualifying offerbut he will probably want to receive around twenty million dollars per year…

4 – Obi Toppin (26 years old – protégé – Indiana Pacers)

Stats 2023–24 (regular season): 10.3 points, 3.9 rebounds and 1.6 assists
Stats 2023–24 (playoffs): 10.9 points, 4.4 rebounds and 1.7 assists

After finding his place as best he could with the Knicks, Obi Toppin flourished even more with the Pacers, where he arrived a year ago. An important member of Rick Carlisle's rotation coming off the bench, he should probably return to the same place, as he is protected by his franchise. With, for the leaping power forward, a nice salary increase of around ten million dollars. But, if the leaders of Indianapolis are not generous because of the re-signing of Pascal Siakam, certain teams will not be asked to divert him…

5 – Kyle Anderson (30 years old – unprotected – Minnesota Timberwolves)

2023–24 stats (regular season): 6.4 points, 4.2 assists and 3.5 rebounds
Stats 2023–24 (playoffs): 4.3 points, 2.7 rebounds and 2.5 assists

Kyle Anderson is the kind of player who can fit into any team and that every team dreams of having. In San Antonio, Memphis and then Minnesota, he has constantly been unanimous with his basketball IQ and his ability to do everything well, without excelling in one area. Coming off the bench, “Slo-Mo” is one of the best in the league and the franchise that secures his services will, for sure, get a good deal. The Wolves must already be crossing their fingers that he doesn't leave elsewhere…

Stats 2023–24 (playoffs): 2.3 points and 1.5 rebounds
